For several months since November 2021, I could not make any artwork because of a medical issue on my left hand and arm. When I resumed art activities in May 2022 teaching a Japanese Calligraphy class, I found refreshed appreciation on basic elements such as lines, dots and unexpected blobs. With them a simple delight of painting returned to me on my oil paintings and alcohol ink paintings.
